I treat clients (both individuals and couples) with a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, and general life stress. We all know life can be extremely stressful, and there are times when that can feel completely unmanageable. When that happens, it can help to talk with someone who can be impartial and help you think about things in a way you haven't considered. This can be a critical step towards making the changes that are important to you.
I integrate several approaches, one of which is cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT). CBT is based on the idea that changing how we think can profoundly impact our feelings and behaviors. Though you may not realize it, you are actually an expert in understanding your own thoughts and feelings.
I believe my job is to help you eventually become "your own therapist". For most people I treat, therapy is brief, solution focused, and goal oriented. If you are invested and ready to make a change, I would be happy to meet with you to discuss your goals.
