We can’t be human without experiencing some discouragement, stress, anxiety, and heartache. But you know this. You’ve probably tried to change things on your own, repeatedly, and often involving someone else. Yet it hasn’t worked. You may feel stuck, tired, and longing for relief and help. It won’t surprise me if part of your distress is from relationships. Research shows a strong correlation between relationship quality, health, and mental health. Relationships are pivotal to emotional and physical wellbeing. But relationships can be repaired and strengthened.
If negative experiences and emotions are part of life, then so are the positive ones. I focus on helping my clients not only reduce the pain and frustration from negative experiences, but also help strengthen and grow their capacity for more goodness in their lives. I employ the idea that there are many paths to the same destination.
I work with my clients to find a path forward that is sustainable, and that they feel ownership of. Every person has inherent strengths and resources that can help them recover from pain and suffering. The tools to heal already exist. I am trained to help you discover them. You may not need to jump from where you are to where you want to be to have hope.
