I work to empower my clients when they having difficulty so they can move on to achieve their goals. From the safe and confidential setting of my office, I work in a positive and supportive way with each client to assist him/her in gaining insights into challenging issues. In addition to helping clients decrease depression, anxiety, and stress, I enjoy helping couples with relationship issues, providing mindfulness skills, enhancing creativity, and assisting clients in coping with trauma/PTSD. I have experience with clients with bipolar issues, addictions, and abuse.
I provide long and short term therapy, as well as crisis intervention for individuals, couples, and families. I use an eclectic approach including cognitive work, relaxation techniques, psychodynamic perspectives, mindfulness based skills, and solution oriented therapy. It has been my pleasure to assist many couples in gaining better relationships.
I had 22 years of experience in the business world before becoming a psychotherapist and find this experience useful for the "real world" perspectives it enables me to provide. I also have about 20 years of personal mindfulness/meditation experience which gives me depth in helping with psychiatric issues.
