Anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, and depression respond well to cognitive behavioral therapy, education, and relaxation techniques(and exposure/response prevention for OCD). Research shows that people with many issues, including chronic illnesses/conditions also can benefit significantly. Resolving one issue makes other problems less difficult to work on.
My approach is mainly results oriented and cognitive behavioral, but eclectic in order to meet each person's needs. Stress management is often a first step, as well as a focus on self talk, problem solving, managing feeling states, and learning.
