I have an extensive background in working with those who come from or are in a hard place. Much of my social work experience was gained during my 15 years with Child Protective Services. Since 2015, I have worked as a psychotherapist and currently in a private practice. I provide individual, marital, and family therapy and enjoy working with adolescents and adults. I also specialize in working with first responders, veterans, and sexual trauma victims. I am trauma-informed and an evidence-based treatment practitioner having attended training from the nation’s most well respected researchers.
I am trained in the following: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI); Circle of Security Parenting (COS); and Trauma and Tension Releasing Exercises (TRE)
To put it simply, I want everyone who comes in contact with me to know I see worth in them. I see someone doing the best they can with the tools they currently have. I see a desire within them to do better and feel better. I want to plant seeds of hope within others’ hearts and empower them to realize they have what it takes to make a positive change.
