Hello! If you struggle with thoughts that keep "recycling" and emotions (or emotional numbness) that keep you stuck in old patterns and unsatisfying relationships, you are not alone. Most of us have never learned how to deal with painful, insistent thoughts, memories and feelings. I have over 17 years of experience helping my clients learn and integrate ways to move beyond depression, anxiety, anger, shame, and trauma. You bring your longings, and I bring deep respect for your experience and values, as well as abiding hope (and a touch of humor). Together, we open a path to a life full of meaning and fulfilling relationships.
I use a very practical, yet profound, approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other therapies based on mindfulness, compassion, and CBT. Within the safety of a kind, validating therapeutic relationship, we'll explore your feelings and thoughts, and practice ways to work with them that free you up to thrive- in all parts of your life.
I am committed to inclusion, fluent in ASL and welcome hearing, hard of hearing, and Deaf adults (18 and older) of all identities and orientations.
