I am a Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a licensed Dietician, in private practice, who specializes in the treatment of Eating Disorders. Since 1984, I have served a clientele of children 12 and over, teens, athletes, adults, and couples. I provide clients suffering from Eating Disorders both therapy and nutritional restoration.
I address weight and intake concerns in a manner to support healthy choices, rather than triggering body dissatisfaction, diet mentality, or disordered eating. The development of a strong sense of identity based upon inner qualities is emphasized rather than on external attributes.
My clinical approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, the Maudsley Method of directive re-feeding, narrative therapy, body image therapy, and eating awareness training (EAT). I am an Equine Assisted Certified Clinician, trained to incorporate horses experientially for the express goal of facilitating the client's emotional and internal growth.
