I have had a successful and active practice for more than 30 years helping adults, families,couples, adolescents and children. While the treatment orientation I take is geared to the individual needs and issues of the client, I believe that an interactive and responsive relationship yields the most connection with the client and produces the most lasting results.
I also specialize in Parent Coaching, both in seminars and in my practice. I appear as a parenting expert on television and radio and authored THE INDULGENCE TRAP. I was director of the California Institute for Stress Management serving UCLA, Kaiser Permanente, and Mattel and teach Stress Managment strategies to my clients.
I'm enthusiastic about my work and am told by clients I am "different" from other therapists in being highly interactive. While connections with one's past are often relevant and explored, my approach is a practical one so clients often leave sessions energized to move forward with their lives.
