I specialize in complex post-traumatic stress disorder (complex/developmental trauma) and bereavement. I assist mothers dealing with childhood trauma in improving their relationships with their children. I also support young adults who are grieving the loss of a parent or another important person, helping them navigate life’s milestones and feel less alone in their experience.
I am certified in EMDR and am trained in TF-CBT, both which are clinically-proven to be helpful for the treatment of bereavement and childhood trauma. I frequently participate in seminars, conventions, and education programs to stay informed about the newest breakthrough treatments in complex trauma and grief.
All therapists can learn techniques through training, but true empathy comes from lived experience. I’ve overcome complex post-traumatic stress disorder and endured a dysfunctional childhood with addicted and abusive parents. As their caregiver in my youth, I gained a deep, personal understanding that goes beyond what generalist therapists can offer.
