I specialize in working with clients that have co-occurring disorders such as depression and substance abuse. I have found that many people will start self-medicating for depression and anxieties with alcohol and street drugs only to find themselves in an addiction they never wanted. I also specialize in Post-traumatic Stress Disorders. I will primarily provide services through Telemedicine portals to help protect the confidentiality of my clients who do not wish to be seen walking into or out of a mental health office.
I have been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy to work with veterans with PTSD and substance abuse. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I have 12 years experience working in the fields of substance abuse counseling and mental health counseling.
I come from a background of substance abuse and a dead end life before finding and using practical strategies and tools to help myself become a professional counselor and believe it is my life's mission to help others wanting to leave behind addictions and self-defeating thoughts and behaviors that only promote stagnation in life.
