Hi! I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor working under the supervision of Deena Kotlewski at Strong Healthy Mind, in Chevy Chase, MD. I have 5 years of experience in the mental health field, where I also serve as a School Counselor in Washington, DC. My primary focus is working with children, adolescents, and their parents to address difficulties including stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, academic struggles, trauma, life transitions, and interpersonal dynamics within peer and family relationships. Together we develop healthy coping skills and techniques to address the area's in your life that you want to improve.
My approach starts with building a strong therapeutic relationship that is founded on a sense of trust, unconditional positive regard, and a non-judgmental space for individuals to express themselves. I empower clients to be in the driver seat of their mental health journey, where we will work as a team to get to the desired destination of better health.
I graduated from Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA with an M.S. in Counseling Psychology. I am formally trained in Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Often times people hesitate to seek help due to the stigma attached to mental health. However, seeking professional help is the strongest thing someone can do.
