I've worked as a child, family, and adult therapist since 1999. I'm committed to helping people better understand and manage events in their lives which they find challenging. In addition to child, family, and adult therapy, I also specialize in the following areas: ADD/ADHD, enhancing parenting skills, anger management, attachment issues, mood disorders, grief issues, posttraumatic stress, self-esteem, drug/alcohol problems, self exploration, career issues, depression, anxiety, oppositional/defiant behavior, and others. I am also trained to use EMDR to help people work through traumas they have been through.
I am a Certified Child Mental Health Specialist, and work with children of all ages, starting as young as 4. I'm an interactive therapist, and am able to meet at your child's level, giving them tools to work on to help them succeed. I also have parenting videos!
It's important the client feels comfortable with the therapist, and I feel I'm a very likable and friendly person, and not stuffy or boring. I love working with parents on parenting concerns, helping them with techniques that are proven to work, along with videos I've made.
