I love to work with a variety of individuals, but primarily have experience with the young and the young at heart. I enjoy hearing people's stories about how they got to wherever they are before before focusing on their goals and dreams for their lives. I work primarily with couples, individuals experiencing anxiety, and people trying to find themselves.
I primarily practice counseling from the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model of counseling but also use elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness. I typically try to find practical solutions as well as explore deeper themes in session.
I believe that counseling is about walking alongside others to untangle their lives, make sense of their experiences, and to try to find the way back to the path you want to be on. It's messy, it's hard, and it very rarely happens quickly. My goal as a therapist is to be a source of support and direction in those moments.
