I am a licensed clinical psychologist working with adults and adolescents with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and alcohol use. I have specialized training in health psychology, treating conditions such as insomnia, chronic pain, tinnitus, and smoking cessation. Behavioral treatments for these conditions are effective in reducing symptoms and improving life satisfaction.
In addition to therapy, I am actively involved in research at OHSU. I have published widely in scientific journals on topics related to trauma, anxiety, and insomnia. My research has primarily focused on reducing problematic alcohol use. Accordingly, I have expertise in treating alcohol abuse, including alternative approaches to abstinence-based programs.
