I have more than 20 years working in a variety of outpatient and inpatient mental health settings including private practice, psychiatric day programs, nursing home and inpatient hospital. I work with adults with a wide variety of needs ranging from such topics as depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship/family stressors and caregiver challenges. We will work together to develop a treatment plan that suits your needs as I utilize a variety of therapy styles including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic therapies, Culturally Sensitive, Family/Marital, Strength-Based, and Mindfulness-Based.
My specialties include, but not limited to, mood disorders, chronic mental health and dual diagnosis conditions, psychotic disorders, and life transitions. I have a RYT 200 hour training in Psychotherapeutic Yoga so components of yoga, breath and mindfulness may be added to the session if desired as a coping technique.
In addition, I have lived abroad and travelled extensively in Asia. Having had experience living in another country as an expat I have a valuable perspective on cultural diversity, cultural awareness and challenges with living abroad as well as repatriation. I moved back to Maryland from Dallas, thus only able to provide Telehealth to Texas residents.
