I strive to empower clients while providing emotional healing. As a team, we will begin by building on clients' strengths while incorporating strategies to ultimately encourage effective decision making in the future along with promoting the incorporation of healthy coping mechanisms.
Although I see adults and adolescents, I specialize in play therapy with children 3-12 years old. I have been trained in both directive and non-directive play therapy, as well as sand tray play. Play therapy is a unique way to work with children by allowing them other options to express themselves. I also am certified to supervise LLPCs in Michigan.
I utilize my dog, Gypsy, to provide animal assisted therapy. Gypsy has been trained by professionals and certified through Therapy Dog International.
