The client is the authority about his/her needs and hopes. If we work together I believe we can achieve the goals we agree upon as we come to know each other. I've worked with couples, families, organizations, and friends in resolving relationship issues for 20 years. I believe attachment issues, trauma and disturbing memories influence our sense of self and can effect how we interact and respond or react in all our relationships. Trauma is personal, some examples are the death of a pet, infidelity, death, war, natural disasters, sexual trauma, growing up in a unstable environment.
I believe all therapy is relationship based and as a therapist I'm part of the client's experience of relationship in the world. Attachment repair, communication, and awareness are the heart of treatment. I bring these to my work with individual, families and couples. My approach is collaborative.
