My therapeutic training is concentrated in trauma and women's issues as a result of many years experience working with sexual assault survivors at the Women's Center of Jacksonville. I am formally trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
My therapy style comes from the idea that I serve as an advisor on your life path to become the hero in your own life, much like these fictional movie characters did for the hero: Falkor, Gandolf, Yoda, Miyagi and Dumbledore. Many served as a guide in my own life, including my first dog Mischief, and I would be honored to serve in this role for you.
