I work with clients to manage life transitions, heal from loss, gain insight into relational patterns, and improve coping skills. My goal is to help you find peace and improve your overall well-being while empowering you to make positive changes in your life. I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) in my practice. One particular area I specialize in is providing support to individuals impacted by Type 1 diabetes. In addition, I have special expertise in trauma, sleep issues, parent coaching, and postpartum mental health.
My journey to become a therapist began after I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I felt inspired to support others adjusting to managing a chronic illness, who may be struggling with the isolation and daily burden that can come along with it. In my practice, I work with adults with diabetes, teens with Type 1, and parents of kids with Type 1, among others.
It takes courage to reach out and ask for help! As a therapist, I believe in creating a nonjudgmental space that is first and foremost focused on acceptance.
