My therapy style usually works within a person-centered, relational and cognitive-behavioral framework. I am going to ask about you, your goals, your family/relationships, your history, and other important life experiences and events so that we can begin to identify and understand thinking, feeling, and behavioral patterns that may or may not be working for you. Together, we can work to decrease your symptoms, such as anxiety and depression through building a therapeutic relationship, and increasing self-awareness and coping skills, which can help improve your self-esteem, personal relationships, and overall satisfaction with life!
Currently, I am only meeting via video conferencing. In my experience, therapy through video has extremely positive results. I typically meet with clients on a weekly basis, and therapy usually lasts between 6 mos. to a year. This timeframe is an average, and is continually assessed and determined based on your needs and our collaborative work together.
Getting started with therapy can sometimes be scary or uncertain. You and I can focus on what is most meaningful and difficult for you. Healing and self-improvement usually increases with some vulnerability, a willingness to look inward, and to learn and practice new skills and ways of being.
