I am an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor and trained in treating anxiety, depression, self-harm thoughts, suicidal ideation, and trauma. I focus on validating thoughts and feelings, building coping skills in order to make healthy choices, and exploring where clients have control over their own lives.
I have experience in providing therapeutic services to children, teens, and young adults in various settings. I have worked in partial hospitalization programs, hospitals, public and alternative schools, and outpatient settings. I have received advanced training in DBT and I'm experienced in utilizing CBT and other strengths-based approaches.
I am passionate about providing clients with empathetic, nonjudgmental, and consistent therapeutic treatment. I recognize that every person deserves respect and to be treated with dignity, no matter what. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as “perfect” or "normal."
