I enjoy engaging individuals and couples seeking a supportive, active, direct, honest collaboration. My goal is to both address uncomfortable, painful conflict or struggles and facilitate more enlivened, loving connections to self and others. Individuals come in confronting challenges in love, work, family, health, school, trauma or loss. In couples therapy, I work with partners young and old, seeking early relationship or premarital counseling or bumping up against difficulty with intimacy and/or sex, parenting partnership, betrayal, infertility, remarriage, step-parenting, money or retirement, and/or on the brink of a break-up.
As a relational psychoanalyst, trained couples therapist and Somatic Experiencing (SE) and EMDR-trained practitioner, I offer a multi-dimensional toolkit to meet the needs of each individual or couple. My extensive couples training includes both PACT, a state-of-the-art psychobiological approach to couples therapy and EFT.
A seasoned clinician, I've presented at numerous professional conferences, supervised therapists in individual and couples therapy and am on faculty at The Stephen Mitchell Relational Study Center and the Couples Therapy Training Program at the WA White Institute. Wearing a different hat, I co-authored a book on Pilates for new mothers with their babies.
