Hi, first I want to commend you for having the courage to reach out. It is very humbling to admit that we don't feel well or we aren't behaving like the person we want to be. Therapy is a hopeful non judgmental place where healing and growth can happen. I have benefited myself from professional help and will be along side you to join you in whatever goals you set for yourself. The human condition comes along with many challenges and powerful emotions we cannot avoid, but I do believe there is a way to handle them with grace and self love. And to tend to those wounds without letting them drive us.
My approach is client centered, it really all depends on the your goals for therapy. There are many modalities that I like to employ, dialectical and behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion focused therapy, and family systems. After many years of practicing yoga I also find mindfulness and meditation helpful for many who are open to it.
Whatever you are feeling is valid and true.. I am here to understand and help you examine how you can create the change you are wishing to see in your life. I am also here to help you see other options in your response, expectation or coping that can aid in getting you what you would like to manifest. Sometimes I may have to point out obstacles you don't see
