My ideal clients are couples, who have issues with communicating, connecting, respecting each other, financial issues, sexual intimacy issues, among other issues faced in relationships. I also enjoy working with adults who are experiencing anxiety/ depression, addiction issues, finding their identity, relationship issues (familial, romantic, friendships, or work-related relationships), feeling stuck, want to build self-esteem, or grief. Since having a baby myself, I have realized I'm very open to working with women experiencing postpartum depression/ anxiety, or all of the other symptoms that come with being a mother.
I offer therapeutic modalities like CBT, which helps reframe harmful thoughts, and DBT, focusing on mindfulness and relationship skills. Using a person-centered approach, I respect clients' unique life perspectives, guided by the stages of change model. Solution-Focused Therapy emphasizes strengths and resilience for resolving issues.
My curiosity makes me a good listener, and my nonjudgmental nature helps people feel at ease opening up. I quickly build connections and make clients comfortable from the start. I bring humor into sessions when appropriate, yet I can challenge clients when they engage in unhelpful behaviors or negative thoughts.
