Squire has over 20 years of counseling experience working in college counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and private practice settings on a wide range of issues including anxiety and related disorders, depression and mood dysregulation, and life transitions that may generate distress and discomfort. He works with clients who are culturally quite diverse in terms of their race/ethnicity, spiritual/religious beliefs, sexual/gender identity and expression, and learning and physical abilities, and he recognizes that delivering multiculturally responsive psychotherapy is essential for his clients.
In addition to his primary work as a psychotherapist, Squire has presented at national higher education conferences in working with college students in support of their mental health, and has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology and counseling at Boston-area schools as an adjunct instructor.
Squire’s counseling style is highly collaborative and draws upon the wisdom of various theoretical approaches to help others be their own agents of change in creating a more engaged and connected existence. He is passionate about facilitating the self-actualization process, allowing clients to live more fully as their most authentic selves.
