Hello! I focus on helping individuals and couples with issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, and stressful situations such as relationship problems, work issues, and life transitions like retirement, marriage, and divorce. I also specialize in working with people who have trouble sleeping, coping with chronic pain, quitting smoking, using a CPAP machine, and adjusting to medical illnesses like cancer, diabetes, or COPD. If you are looking for help with any of those situations, I want you to know there are effective, scientifically supported treatments that may bring you relief and greatly improve your quality of life.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and encouraging. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help people achieve their goals. I will describe these treatments in detail and we can arrive at a decision together as to which will be the most effective for you.
