I believe in the innate dignity of all people, and the work I do as a counselor is to encourage and empower people to live up to their personal values and embrace a more abundant life. When I work with a client I meet them where they are, without judgment, and enter into a working relationship built on trust, empathy, vulnerability, and communication. I have a person-centered approach to therapy, meaning that I respect the people who walk into my office enough to trust them to make decisions for themselves. I believe change is inevitable, but also, often painful, but that doesn't mean we can't work to find hope and grace.
I am competent and comfortable working with people of all ages from all cultural backgrounds. People struggling with depression/anxiety, grief, relational issues, anger, questions of meaning, identity, and trauma, are all welcome to contact me.
Asking for help from a stranger, putting yourself into a vulnerable, open-minded, or even confused state of mind intentionally, is more unnatural than most of us would like to admit, and that's why having someone to support and encourage us while we search for answers can be so valuable. Our Grief and Loss Support Group provides support to any adult who has experienced loss through death, job loss, pet loss, and other major life transitions. We understand the loneliness one often experiences in the grieving process and we invite anyone looking for a sense of community at this time to reach out to us.
