I have provided Individual, Family, and Group Therapy services for youth/adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. Some of my special interests include: anxiety, depression, grief, stress/anger management, relationships (to include parenting), and self-esteem. I view therapy as a partnership and enjoy working with individuals that are ready to commit to their healing journey.

My name is Robin Grace and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My license number is 9252.I believe is working with the client where they are and using tools that fit the needs of the client. I have worked with may different type of clientele. I have worked with children & teenagers, couples & families and people with minor disabilities such as autism.

My practice name sums up my view that every person has the power to heal themselves and problems are simply symptoms of things that are going on. I specialize in child, adolescent and family therapy and have training in a variety of modalities. As such, I tailor my approaches to best meet your needs (CBT therapies, art and play therapies, behavioral approaches, social skills, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and trauma techniques). Therapy, in its truest sense, is not about comfort because it is never easy dealing with some of our areas but my goal is to make the process supportive and safe.

Looking for a different, more personal therapy experience, here it is ! I work collaboratively with you and your child/adolescent/family to develop a plan together on the second session, get a new skill each week, and see progress within 8 sessions. With 29 of years experience with children, adolescents and adults recovering from trauma, grief, emotional or behavioral challenges with educational or work-related issues in schools, group homes, rural health care clinics and military facilities. Sessions are online with a confidential platform to offer connivence and accessibility to any location in South Carolina.

In my 30 plus years as a licensed professional counselor, I have had the honor of walking with individuals and couples through life crises and transitions, seeing them with fresh eyes, an understanding heart, and strategic interventions (or behavioral “experiments”) as they discover a new life of purpose and meaning, with renewed personal energy and deepened relationships.

It is my belief that every human being has dignity and worth no matter what you have gone through or experienced. I am an experienced therapist (20+ years) with a Saturday private practice focusing on individual therapy and couples therapy for adults. I can help you take back your life and work towards a meaningful and happy existence. I provide counseling for men, women, and couples from all backgrounds, and create a warm and nurturing therapeutic environment. My practice includes an eclectic mix of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), therapy guided by the Gottman method, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), trauma focused therapy, and relationship dynamics, aging and elderly care.

Life becomes unmanageable at times. A solution to a problem seems impossible. My own personal experiences have helped me to overcome many difficulties and become an empathetic and skilled therapist. I work with clients who are affected by a variety of issues and have to deal with difficulties and painful circumstances. I really enjoy when my client's faces brighten up when they're able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

My practice is oriented towards helping people connect with their innate wisdom and emotional intelligence to discover within themselves the means to reach more integrated, satisfying and productive lives. I work with older teenagers, adults (individuals and couples), and seniors who suffer from depression, anxiety, loss or grief, relationship conflicts, emotional adjustment, and from conditions related to mood, personality and thinking.

Life stressors can be overwhelming and life changing. And change is not always easy. Stress can be overwhelming and quickly take over our lives. Stress is often the start pointing of depression and anxiety. Stress makes it difficult to set boundaries, participate in self-care, communicate, and several other factors that drive our life forward. We often find ourselves with a deficit in more than one area of life. It is important to identify and process out the source of the stress be it physical health, trauma, spiritual, family, social, career, finances, or romantic relationships.

As an LPC, I work with individuals, couples and families to address their areas of distress and concern using primarily cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, psychotherapy, and employing art and play therapy techniques. It is a great honor and privilege to be trusted to work with individuals, couples and families to help restore a healthy balance and to begin to help people transform their lives into feeling a greater sense of purpose and productivity. I provide programs for community groups on anxiety/depression, parenting, and grief/loss. Areas of specialization include women's issues, children, adolescents, couples and families.

I believe my job as a therapist is to help individuals, parents or couples find "their owner's manual". My work must be diagnostic and strategic through a comprehensive understanding of the person, their situation and settings. I have a wide background as a therapist from settings in several different clinics that provides a layering of understanding. i.e. education, addiction, trauma, family therapy, and group treatment clinics. I also believe understanding culture is vital to effective treatment as well.
