I was trained in an evidence based treatment program (PSB-CBT, Problematic Sexual Behavior - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) that focuses on taking a respectful, non shaming, positive approach to addressing problematic sexual behaviors in youth.
It is my passion to help children, teens and young adults (ages 3-25) whenever there has been a concern for problematic behavior that has gotten them in trouble or that hurt someone. If you need help addressing something like this, or if you have questions generally about equipping your child to keep themselves and others safe (think about technology use, sexting, etc), I would love to work with you. I also really enjoy working with youth who need help processing a traumatic experience (I provide TF-CBT, an evidence based treatment program). When possible, I include the caregiver or parent in treatment.

Having experience as a personal trainer and a strong cognitive-behavioral therapy background, I am passionate about how physical health impacts a person's mental well-being and strive to integrate both in order to help clients achieve goals they have set to improve the quality of their lives. The therapy process is a collaborative experience between an individual and myself that involves identifying unhelpful feelings and thoughts in order to develop positive coping strategies and utilize current strengths.

I use an eclectic approach to psychotherapy often using components of cognitive behavioral therapy, stress management and mindfulness techniques.
Pursuing counseling can be an intimidating or overwhelming process at times. It may be concern of the unknown or maybe you have not had a positive experience with counseling previously. Seeking support is a courageous act and one grounded in strength. I use humor and a down-to-earth approach to build a non-judgmental therapeutic relationship designed to support you throughout. I focus on issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, stress management and self-esteem.
