Hello and welcome! I'm Sonya and I'm so glad you're here. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and I work with children, adolescents, and adults. Prior to launching Morgan Counseling Group PLLC in 2020, I had worked as a social worker in several Chicagoland schools. I have extensive experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Education Plans, special education services, and navigating the school environment. My treatment background includes anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social skills, relationships, behavioral concerns, transitions, self-esteem, grief/loss, and identity awareness.
I meet clients where they are using a variety of therapeutic modalities including self psychology, cognitive behavioral, strengths-based, solution-focused, positive, play, and expressive therapies depending on individual need. I believe that a strong therapeutic rapport and partnership allows for the most successful treatment outcomes.
