I also treat a wide range of mental health disorders, with an emphasis on nervous system and somatic therapies.
Trauma, depression, anxiety, family issues, and narcissistic abuse can affect how we relate, parent, work, and live. My approach emphasizes an internal focus, enabling you to live your life instead of your traumas.

I have helped many people heal from the effects of trauma and have expertise in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness training and body-based/somatic approaches.
I want to help you access your inner power and live your most meaningful life! I help people tap into their passions and unique talents to come back to their true self. Do you ever feel like you keep trying different approaches and make a little progress but still feel stuck? I love bringing playfulness, creativity, and movement into the healing process to break up old patterns and create healthier ones. I enjoy helping people change their ways of relating to anxiety and difficult experiences from resistance and dread to curiosity and kindness.

The counseling world is shifting. The latest studies are proving that effective counseling goes beyond just talk therapy: it includes attention to both the mind and the body. I utilize experiential modalities, based on cutting-edge research and real-world experience by the world’s leading experiential practitioners. I combine this with classic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Somatic Experiencing (SE). Applying these tandem techniques in the counseling setting helps my clients attain tangible and life-altering changes.

In our work together I use a mind body approach---meaning traditional talk therapy through a Psychodynamic lens, in addition to the felt-sense of the body or a Somatic/Nervous System approach---inviting a greater awareness of self and our responses.
Have you struggled with feeling good about yourself? How does your perception of yourself impact your life? Each of us have lived experiences that leave imprints on our lives sometimes impacting our ability to trust, and connect with ourselves and those around us. I aim to foster a space in therapy that invites room for curiosity, safety, and also bravery in order to encourage---growth, self-discovery and healing. I work with both young adults and adults who are experiencing never feeling enough, or have experienced: trauma, self-harming behaviors, eating disorders, body perception issues, perfectionism and negative self-perception.

Some of the tools we offer to assist the journey are ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), integrative talk therapy, trauma therapies, somatic and mindfulness practices, psychedelic integration and consultation, energy management tools, Acu-Detox, and more.
Everyone is born with unique strengths and talents, but as we grow, we absorb conditioning from our families and culture. This conditioning can turn into barriers that reinforce negative habits and hinder our authentic and joyful living. At Bunny Moon Therapy, our mission is to free you from these patterns and empower you to live your highest potential. We strive to help all people and specialize in assisting highly sensitive people (HSPs) to understand their unique needs. Whether you are grappling with mental health challenges or simply feel there is untapped potential for the enjoyment of life, we are here to help.

Our time together could include any of the following: Parts work, Emotion-focused therapy, Inter-relational theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic experiencing, rapid-eye movement, and Dialectal Behavior Therapy.
Walking through the therapy door to spill your guts to a stranger can be terrifying! I've been there, so I use a humanistic and strengths-based approach as a therapist. I know that safety and connection are vital to healing and growing so I work at the pace my clients lead. I support you in connecting mind and body, living your authentic self, and creating meaningful connections with others. Whether you are dealing with difficult circumstances, emotions, dark thoughts or relationships, I know you are innately good and I try to see the whole you. Trauma-informed methods are key to restore you to optimal functioning.

I use somatic techniques and parts work to help you express yourself, feel more secure and safe within your body, and access your ability to handle life’s challenges.
Feeling disconnected? Overly stressed or anxious? Wondering what might send you over the edge next? From the outside looking in, no one knows anything is going on. Are you an athlete that has sustained a concussion, injury, accident, or negative experience? You now have fear and pain that keep you from competing or recreating. You struggle with negative self-talk, perfectionism, anxiety, and understanding/feeling your emotions. Imagine if you could more easily understand what you’re feeling and why. Imagine navigating challenges with clarity and confidence, performing at your best, and remembering why you love your sport/recreation.

Somatic Therapists

How does somatic therapy work?

Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?

Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?

Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
