Hello:) My name is Susan Pitler; I am a LPC, a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SE) and a Somatic Touch Therapist specializing in Trauma, Neurodivergence (ADHD) and Narcissistic abuse. Somatic Experiencing is a mind-body approach that moves us out of a "survival brain" perspective and allows us access to our deep sense of connection, safety and ease. It reduces responses related to traumatic injury such as: anxiety, depression, chronic pain and fear by safely and gently touching into sensations, emotions, memories and traumatic energy that is held within our bodies and increases a sense of resilience, coherence and calm
SE increases your understanding of our natural survival responses and of how our nervous system works to protect us. We can then move beyond our usual "cognitive" way of understanding and allow our whole body to process, release and heal traumatic energy within a safe environment. The long term effect is a restored sense of joy, vitality and connection
