My philosophy in counseling is about building rapport, engaging the client, assisting with goal-setting, and encouraging ongoing work outside of sessions, to achieve maximum benefits. I believe that feeling expression, focusing on strengths and learning empowerment make the client successful. I will be with you every step of the way to work through any struggles that arise. If your struggles go beyond my scope of practice at any point, I will refer you to another professional that can better suit your needs.
I offer sessions after hours, during the week, to help accommodate work and school schedules as needed. I have a certification in trauma. I have worked with all populations with a great deal of experience in relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adolescents/young adults. I am an LGBTQ+ provider.
I view counseling as a partnership between counselor and client. I will advocate for you and help you find your voice. I will encourage you to set and obtain all of your therapeutic goals while focusing on your strengths.
