Smart Love Family Services is a team of experienced psychologists, social workers, and professional counselors providing supportive relationship-based psychotherapy. Our approach recognizes that all people are born with an innate potential and desire to be happy, to feel good about themselves, and to experience close, positive loving relationships, but often times learned self-sabotaging patterns can get in the way. We help people create the kind of life that they want for themselves by turning away from self-sabotaging behaviors, and turning towards self-caretaking and constructive coping choices for a more fulfilling life.
Our therapists are trained to use the Smart Love approach with individuals of all ages--from very young children to older adults, as well as with parents and couples. We treat most symptoms and problems, and specialize in resolving the inner unhappiness that often underlies individual's external symptoms to help create more lasting change.
At Smart Love Family Services, all therapists receive weekly individual clinical supervision as well as group consultation to ensure that we are providing the highest quality of care to our clients. Smart Love Family Services: It Takes A Village, free-of-charge program for parents and children of color that is uniquely tailored to fit their needs. Parents and children come to separate Biweekly Saturday Group sessions to gain ideas, knowledge and encouragement in dealing with a variety of issues. Youth Group is for children of color ages 6-18.
