Within our lives the one constant that prevails overtime is change. As humans, we often can be creatures of habit and life changes can be significantly difficult at times for us to manage. The fear attached to changes within our mental health, medical health, interpersonal relationships, identity, job status, etc. can feel very overwhelming. However, within our sessions I hope to provide you with a safe and supportive space to unpack these concerns and allow you to learn various skills to empower you to feel fully capable of addressing these life changes.
I primarily implement the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in order to provide my clients with the skills necessary to effectively address the thoughts and behaviors that are negatively impacting their lives. Within my sessions, I appreciate the value of talk therapy but also pairing this with skill usage when applicable.
I think a pivotal aspect of establishing success within therapy is a trusting therapeutic relationship. I appreciate the process of fully understanding my clients and their strengths through a warm, open, and non-judgmental approach. This allows me as the therapist to truly meet my clients where they're at and tailor therapy to meet their individual needs.
