I am a NJ licensed Psychologist , and owner of A New Way Counseling and Psychotherapy LLC a group practice serving individuals, couples, and families in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We believe our role in therapy is to assist you in accomplishing your goals, and help to establish “A new way" to manage with life stress, anxiety, depression, obsessions, loss, eating disorder, adjustment, and other areas which may be relevant to you. Together we will work to identify your specifics needs, identify your goals, and work to achieve them. We identify collaboration to be the cornerstone of therapy, this is after all about you.
In working together, I emphasize the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I also incorporate interventions and skills from cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior therapy, and other evidenced based practices. I believe that therapeutic change is facilitated by open communication, and will work with you in identifying the best treatment approach.
The first thing I tell many of my clients is that "I am real". I believe that this openness allows for the establishment of a comfortable environment in which you can begin to create "A new way" to cope.
