Hello, my name is Silvina Martin, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from CA, providing individual and couples therapy to adult clients via telehealth in English, and Spanish. I have 20+ years of experience working with clients dealing with relationship issues (romantic and family), low esteem, past trauma, grief and loss, and symptoms of anxiety and depression.
My approach in therapy sessions is individualized to meet my client's specific needs and goals for therapy. I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help shift unhealthy thoughts fueling mood symptoms, and unhealthy behaviors, and use Trauma-Focused interventions to work through past trauma, when needed.
I found myself gravitating towards wanting to make time to be there for friends and peers as far back as I can remember, to provide them with a listening ear, or comforting words. Through my education, internships, and experience, I was reminded that I continued to want to be a part of hopefulness, change, growth, and healing for others.
