While you can't control everything that happens to you, I will support you in managing life’s stressors by exploring your history to uncover patterns, deepen your awareness, and develop new ways to manage emotions. I believe that a positive therapeutic alliance is vital to creating the trust and safety that is necessary to be vulnerable and do the work that therapy requires. I recognize that you are the expert of your story and draw from a client-centered model to personalize treatment. I am passionate about coming alongside adolescents, families, and adults as they navigate hardships and learn to embrace life's ups and downs.
While I work with clients on many issues, I find it deeply fulfilling to work with those experiencing grief, going through life transitions, or who have histories of trauma. My sessions are guided by a combination of approaches including emotionally focused therapy and narrative therapy, with an inclusion of mind-body connection practices and nature therapy.
The decision to begin therapy can be intimidating but taking care of your mental health is essential.
