Supporting young children & implementing play therapy as a conduit to healing is my driving passion. I believe children & adolescents are often misunderstood & so much family suffering comes from the natural difficulties that occur within communication. My approach emphasizes the influences of learned behavioral, thinking, and relational patterns on individual and family life. My hope is to empower young people to recognize what they can control, help families communicate more openly & honestly with one another, & provide parents with information and tangible tools that empower them as parents & sculptors of their family’s culture.
My counseling approach is grounded in a person-centered, somatic based, attachment focused perspective. We will collaborate to determine what coping skills help you find more peace. In our sessions you can expect me to reflect the deeper meaning I hear in what you say, ask you to tune into your body, & offer play as a form of introspection & path to healing.
I hope to empower, inspire, challenge perspectives & advocate as you navigate the exploration into the struggles and successes of your life.
