My name is Sidraya Bussie, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Jacksonville, FL, and working with Clients statewide via telehealth. I have worked in a variety of settings with Clients and populations providing specialty services in managing everyday challenges, life changes, mental health conditions, etc. I believe in taking a collaborative, holistic, and cognitive approach to counseling, but specifically to what fits the Client’s needs to help alleviate any discrepancies, increase motivation, and find purpose and balance in their life during a journey to self-healing.
I have found that my therapeutic style and approach are a good fit for young/older adults who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions, life stressors, and social pressures. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, etc.
My communication style is a balance of being assertive, active listening, silent, calm, down to earth, exploring, clarification, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything and I pride myself on my ability to be nonjudgmental, have respect for others, and allow people to be their authentic self.
