I have a lot of experience in helping international students and employees navigate life transitions and challenges. My clinical areas of specialty include personal growth and development, anxiety and depression, interpersonal problems, grief and loss issues, trauma, and stress-related problems. I believe the difficulties serve a purpose: to provide us the chance to reveal authenticity and completeness in our life. Life seems to be falling apart when you focus on the broken pieces. I will help you see how they will come together to form the whole.
My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic and primarily informed by existential psychology, Jungian psychology, and trauma-informed approaches. I specialize in using Attachment Focused EMDR and Jungian psychology such as dream analysis, active imagination, and sandplay to mend early attachment wounds and complex trauma.
I was born and raised in China. I started my career in mental health counseling in 2012; then came to the U.S. to pursue training and practice over the past several years. I'm fluent in Mandarin and familiar with cross-culture issues.
