The journey of life is not a straight line. It is full of twists, turns, and unexpected detours. Sometimes we can feel lost or alone on our path. Sometimes we just need to have someone to help us process whatever it is we are going through, free of judgment or shame. When I was a child, I loved seeing fireflies at night. They made the night not quite so scary. They helped me to feel hope and magic, even when I was in the dark. Just a spark of light can help guide us when we are in the dark. That is why I named my practice Firefly Therapy.
I have been a social worker for 26 years and have worked with clients with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger, parenting issues, relationship issues, trauma, shame, and personal growth. I believe that within a safe space of empathy and acceptance, growth and change can occur if someone is motivated and ready.
I offer a warm and empathetic space for a client to share and explore, along with therapeutic tools to help you meet your goals. I would love to help you find some light on your path, wherever you may find yourself. I offer evening appointments on Mondays or Wednesdays, as well as Saturday mornings.
