I love working with teens and kids, and I have a specialized background in trauma of all kinds. To me, therapy is about the connection between the therapist and the client, and about that attunement and understanding. Beyond that, all the training in the world is secondary!
Therapy can be a space to talk to someone who's not part of your life, to have someone who will listen and who can offer a new perspective. Its about finding someone you connect with, and who can help you get unstuck or think in new ways. It's scary, but when it works its a great feeling - that's why I do it.
