I have worked as a social worker in some capacity for the last 35 years - for the state of Missouri, for the public-school system, a psychiatrics hospital, a children's home and have been in private practice for 24 years. Much of my career I have worked with at risk families, refugees and single mothers; many of them working through past abuse and trauma. I have experience in individual, couples, family and group therapy. I believe in building on my clients strengths. My treatment approaches are based on sound scientific models of human behavior and established methods of psychotherapy.
I do Christian based counseling for those with that interest. I am interested in meeting my clients where they are. I consider it a privilege to momentarily hold your pain and help with your struggles.
