In my role as a therapist, I strive to provide that special and trusting relationship that can help clients achieve their potential happiness. Through Cognitive Behavioral, Strengths Based, and Solution Focused approaches to therapy, my goal is to support and guide clients to find the answers they need. These approaches gently support clients through their transitions out of their present distress and toward a more carefree and mindful way to live life. I have a special passion to support parents from conception through a year postpartum with their mental health concerns.
My approach to therapy is, in part, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This means that we will focus on learning new coping skills to address stress and anxiety. I help individuals learn how to address situations in a way that allows them to move forward in life, rather than feel stuck in familiar patterns. I also use Motivational Interviewing.
Clients of all ages thrive when they are seen and heard. They grow when they are provided a safe space to explore their past, present, and goals for the future. My work with children, adolescents, and adults provide them with creative and concrete resources and strategies to learn how to get through future challenges.
