So often we suffer traumas and emotional struggles, feeling like no one will understand or not knowing where to turn. This is one of the reasons I chose to become a counselor. My role in my client's lives is to provide a different outlook and to evaluate possible solutions. I provide my clients with a safe and supportive environment, free of judgement or criticism, where meeting their goals is top priority. I help my clients recognize their choices, as well as the means to get there, and together we will work towards achieving those desired goals.
I believe my training and experience enables me to provide assistance in numerous areas, such as trauma, complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, body image issues, grief, and anger management, to name a few. I am a Certified EMDR therapist and can provide either standard 1 hr EMDR or EMDR Intensives (3 to 6 hrs). I am also a Certified First Responder Therapist.
I completely get how difficult opening up to a stranger can be, as well as opening up old and new wounds. I hope to show my clients they have the ability to reach their full potential and to know there are people who want to understand and help them live the life they fully deserve.
