Does this describe you: "I'm running on empty and living a frazzled life. I feel like I'm in survival mode." The process of exploring your inner life (the unresolved traumas, as well as the resiliency that has helped you survive) creates opportunities for you to heal. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). As Viktor Frankl wrote, "When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves." We can rewire our brains and reprocess our past traumas using EMDR. I am currently providing EMDR via Zoom. Yes, this is possible, and it works.
When we experience something traumatic, it is often locked in the nervous system. The trauma causes pain, discomfort and negative emotions. Together, we will work on the thoughts and feelings associated with traumatic events and guide your brain to reprocess them, and increase your resiliency for the positive--this means we'll grow your capacity for good!
Using EMDR while tracking your somatic sensations, we explore your life's journey and what is happening in your life today. We will begin to unpack how you relate to yourself and to those around you as well as investigate how past traumas may be having an impact on you in the present. I am also a Certified Daring Way Facilitator in the work of Brené Brown.
