I have a holistic philosophy about therapy which means, I believe that best results from counseling are achieved by exploring clients and how they function in their systems (family, school, work, etc.). I view counseling as a process in which the client and therapist work as a team to explore future goals for an improved life and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals.
My counseling approach is primarily from a cognitive-behavioral perspective in that patterns of thoughts and actions are explored in order to better understand the clients' problems and to develop solutions.
I have been licensed in Louisiana since 2007 as an LPC and is also certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a National Certified School Counselor (NCSC). I enjoy working with children and adolescents and have over eleven years of experience working with at-risk children and their families in the public school system.
