Shawn’s passion lies in the area of crisis triage, trauma recovery, and addiction. Shawn offers an innovative, triphasic approach to trauma therapy incorporating EMDR and established trauma techniques with a unique connection with community and others. Offering individuals who identify with trauma a community of support and healing, she has introduced hundreds of individuals to healing, belonging and acceptance. Currently seeing clients in person and telehealth.
Shawn received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a psychoanalytic discipline from Northwestern University. She is an LPC, with certifications in Trauma, Personality Disorders, Addiction, and EMDR. Shawn's office is in Pooler, GA, just outside of Savannah. She runs The Savannah Trauma Institute as well as her private practice.
My role is to guide you through understanding subconscious motivators for why you may 'do what you do' and how to stop what causes you distress. I want to help you feel accepted and to belong, while feeling validation for your experiences.
