I have always been taught to meet a person where they are. I did not understand what that meant until I started my counseling journey. I started Starting Point Counseling and Consulting, LLC to help people struggling with everyday stressors, such as anxiety and depression. My desire with those that I counsel is to utilize my skillset and training to help them work through life's pains and frustrations.
Every client has counseling needs that are unique, therefore I use several different integrative therapeutic approaches that stem from cognitive behavioral theory, reality therory, and a person-centered theory of counseling.
We all struggle from time to time. It takes a great deal of bravery to sit in vulnerability and address issues that we would rather suppress. Throughout the many journeys in life, many unexpected hardships do arise. When those hardships happen, you do not have to take them alone.
